Our First Water Well - Niger

Salaamu Alaykum,

Ramadan is a month of mercy, sacrifice, and service. It is a time when we are reminded that true faith is not only in worship, but in how we care for those around us.

During the holy month of Ramadan, as two brothers with a small clothing brand and a big intention, we set a goal that felt heavy but necessary: to build a water well in Africa.

Water is life. It is dignity. It is health. It is relief for mothers who walk miles each day. It is safety for children who would otherwise drink contaminated water.

Alhamdulilah, through your generosity and trust in SABR, that goal became a reality.

On May 5, 2022, our first water well was completed in Boudoukoukonkehi. Boboye, Dosso region, Niger.

What began as an idea during the holy month of Ramadan turned into flowing water for an entire community. This well now serves 9 families – 52 beneficiaries who previously did not have reliable access to clean water. For these families, water is no longer a daily uncertainty. It is no longer a distant walk. It is no longer unsafe.

This is not just a well.

It's your sadaqah jariya.

Looking at the completed water well reminded us of why SABR exists. 

This mission was never about clothing alone. It was about turning intention into action. It was about making fashion a vehicle for impact. Every purchase, every share, every dua helped bring this well to life.

You made this happen!
